Neuritis Has Anyone Been Treated For Occipital Neuritis?

Has anyone been treated for occipital neuritis? - neuritis

My mother tried to occipital neuritis, and a procedure for blockages, and acupuncture, but nothing helped. The drug did not answer me. Has anyone had this and was cured, and if so, what are the doctors?

Jamd - In many cases of occipital neuritis can not find, is the cause. A positive response (pain relief) after anesthetic blockade to confirm the diagnosis.

Treatment is symptomatic and usually includes massage and relaxation. In some cases, antidepressants may be used if the pain is particularly acute. Other treatments may blockades and local steroid injections directly into the affected area.

Occipital neuralgia is a potentially fatal disease. Many people improve with treatment with heat, rest, anti-inflammatory mediations, and muscle relaxants. Recovery is usually completed after the battle of the pain and repair the nerve damage or reduced.

The investigations are ongoing. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and other institutes of the National Institutes of Health research on pain and occipital neuralgia conduct in relation to their clinical and research laboratories, and additional support through grants to medical institutions across the country. Much of this Researc. focuses on understanding the basic mechanisms of pain treatment and testing to find better ways to treat occipital neuralgia.
